News has broken that there was a break-in at the Seattle offices of the Washington State Democrats on Monday nightA break-in at the Seattle offices of the Washington State Democrats took place on Monday night.
The party stated that “Early this morning, the Seattle headquarters office housing the Washington State Democrats was the site of a burglary, the Seattle Police Department is currently investigating, and no further details will be available until the conclusion.” The Seattle police had no further details to give.
Brian M. Rosenthal, a Seattle Times reporter, posted on Twitter that the office was the state headquarters for President Obama’s and Washington state gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee’s campaigns.
A spokesman said that it’s too early to know what was taken but the break-in was in the main office area, where there may have been laptops and other electronics, along with signs and mailings.
