US 2012

A country decides

November 7, 2012

Despite Democrat victory, votes continue to roll in

Despite President Obama’s Electoral victory, the votes continue to roll in, with a number of states voting for the Democrat.

President Obama has taken Hawaii, adding another 4 electoral votes to the Democrats total, along with Iowa, Oregon and Washington.

Although the race appeared to be too close to call early on, and indeed popular vote figures remain in favour of Mr. Romney, Obama gradually built up a strong supply of votes from the swing states of Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and pulled clear of candidate Romney to be the first African-American re-elected in office.
