US 2012

A country decides

November 7, 2012

First swing state votes Obama

The first swing state of the 2012 US election has been called in President Barack Obama’s favour.

Michigan holds 16 Electoral College votes and should give Obama and his campaign staff a big boost going into the late evening.

The President had similar success there in 2008, as has every Democratic candidate since 1992.

With a rise in Hispanic votes, it is believed this could be one of the factors behind Obama’s win.
