Maryland and Connecticut vote Obama

President Barack Obama has been projected to win the state of Maryland,  which will net him 10 electoral college votes.
The state also voted Democrat in the 2008 election.
The President has also been predicted to win Connecticut, gaining him a further seven electoral college votes. The state is another Democratic stronghold.
