Chris Rock reminds America that Obama is white

By Steven Buckley

On Friday night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, comedian Chris Rock made a guest appearance via a video, with a message to undecided voters.

“In times like these, you need a white president you can trust, and that white president’s name is Barack Obama” Chris said in the video.

Later in the video, Rock made light of the fact that “Barry went into black neighbourhoods to try to organize people. How white is that? Black people don’t go into black communities. We don’t have to. We’re already there!”

Throughout the video, Chris Rock highlighted many ‘white’ stereotypes to show undecided voters that “you can feel safe placing your trust in the golf-playing, body-surfing, ‘mom jeans’-wearing current occupant of the White House.

The issue of how white Obama’s actual skin colour is was shown where Rock compared Obama to Snooki and the ‘tanning bed mom’.

This is yet another celebrity endorsement in recent days that uses humour to get the message across. Notable ones include Michael Moore and Joss Whedon
